Xi'an is famous for its status as the blueprint of many Chinese and Japanese cities.
In the city center, one finds two iconic stately traditional buildings : the Bell tower and the Drum tower, which functioned as actual sound emitters when the city walls were opening and closing.
The towers also played an important role in alerting the population when enemy soldiers attacked the city.
This item is the ceiling of the first floor of the tower, dating from the Ming dynasty. The psychedelic design of the core of the ceiling determined us to make an attempt to scan it. It worked.
